In honor of Veterans Day, we are re-posting episode #003 of the Wisdom Project podcast which focuses attention on the stories from the Nunn Center’s World War II project. This episode features the powerful stories of two World War II veterans, Jesse Beazley and Louis Bower, who both participated in the D-Day invasion and archived their oral history interviews with the Nunn Center’s Colonel Arthur L. Kelly American Veterans Oral History Collection.
The Nunn Center now has over 600 oral history interviews with veterans from World War I, World War II, the Korean, and Vietnam wars, Desert Storm, Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom. Many of these important stories are available online in SPOKEdb, the Nunn Center’s digital repository: http://www.kentuckyoralhistory.org .
