John Johnson discusses past NAACP Director Kweisi Mfume and his determination to get young people involved in the cause.

John Johnson was born in Franklin, Kentucky and is the Executive Director of the Kentucky Commission on Human Rights. He served for twenty years as an official of the NAACP at their national headquarters in Baltimore, Maryland.

This interview took place on June 18, 2013 as part of the Kentucky Civil Rights Hall of Fame Oral History Project, Louie B. Nunn Center for Oral History and University of Kentucky Libraries.
