Saving Stories Features Baseball Great Stan Musial

The latest episode of Saving Stories on WUKY features Nunn Center Director Doug Boyd talking about an oral history project in the collection that features some of the all-time greats in Major League Baseball.  The A.B. “Happy” Chandler Baseball Commissioner Project features an incredible listing of players during the time of the desegregation of Major League Baseball.  One of the former players interviewed or the project was Stan Musial. One of the greatest players of all time, Stan the Man passed away last week at the age of 92.  This excerpt talks about how MLB players organized to continue to play baseball during World War II.
