Share Your Stories About Coach Joe B. Hall

The Big Blue Nation mourns the loss of legendary men’s basketball coach Joe B. Hall. Coach Hall was interviewed for the Nunn Center by former player Kyle Macy on January 1, 2015 for the University of Kentucky Athletics Men’s Basketball Oral History Project, and Macy’s television program From the Rafters of Rupp. Before coaching the University of Kentucky men’s basketball team to the 1978 NCAA Championship, Hall played college basketball at the University of Kentucky and the University of the South, he toured with the Harlem Globetrotters, he coached high school basketball, as well as coached at Regis College and Central Missouri State University, eventually coming to the University of Kentukcy as an assistant coach to Adolph Rupp. Hall was named the head coach 1972.
