4 Elliott: Quitting School to Plow, Growing All Our Food

Elliott recalls the boss-man telling his dad he needed to plow rather than going to school. They had 40 acres of their own, but worked the fields of the large landowner.

Rev. Dr. Charles Elliott Jr. was born in Wheeler, Alabama in 1934. He is the pastor of King Solomon Missionary Baptist Church in Louisville, Kentucky. He was inducted into the Kentucky Civil Rights Hall of Fame in 2012.
