Nunn Center’s 1964 Oral History Interview with Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

On March 18, 1964, Robert Penn Warren used his reel to reel recorder to conduct an oral history interview with Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. The interview was part of Warren’s research for his forthcoming book “Who Speaks for the Negro” published in 1965. The oral history interview with Dr. King, as well as 42 other interviews are part of the “Who Speaks For The Negro? The Robert Penn Warren Civil Rights Oral History Project” archived at the Nunn Center since 1964. In honor of Martin Luther King Day, take a moment to listen to this interview.
