Wallace discusses the national struggle for gay marriage but never forgets the intertwined issues of race in America. “We have to open the doors wide enough so whether you are oppressed because of color, sexuality or gender or disability or gender identity or nationality…. we all want to go through those justice doors and we don’t want to leave each other behind.”
